What to Watch this Week

Last week, investors digested a slew of earnings and economic results, with markets ending in negative territory for the week. This week, Wall Street will gear up for yet another round of quarterly reports. Below, we highlight the most important earnings being announced this week.

Monday

The following companies will report after the closing bell on Monday:

  • American Financial Group (AFG) is expected to post earnings of $1.29 per share.
  • Anadarko Petroleum (APC) is slated to report EPS of $0.82.
  • Black Hills Corp (BKH) is expected to announce earnings of $0.78 per share.
  • Hartford Financial Services (HIG) is expected to report EPS of $0.93.

Tuesday

These companies will post quarterly results on Tuesday:

  • Aetna (AET) is expected to post EPS of $1.22 before the opening bell.
  • Aflac (AFL) is slated to report earnings of $1.30 per share after the closing bell.
  • Archer Daniela Midland Company (ADM) is expected to report EPS of $0.91 before the opening bell.
  • BP (BP) is slated to post EPS of $0.82 before the opening bell.
  • The Walt Disney Company (DIS) is expected to post earnings of $1.08 per share after the market close.
  • Eaton Corp (ETN) is expected to report EPS of $1.20 before the opening bell.
  • Emerson Electric Company (EMR) is slated to post EPS of $0.73 before the open.
  • Universal Corp (UVV) is expected to report after the market close.
  • United Parcel Service (UPS) is slated to report earnings of $1.25 per share before the opening bell.
  • Wynn Resorts (WYNN) is expected to post EPS of $1.44 after the closing bell.

Wednesday

The following will report earnings on Wednesday:

  • Allstate Corp (ALL) is expected to post EPS of $1.66 after the closing bell.
  • Clorox Co. (CLX) is slated to report earnings of $0.90 per share before the opening bell.
  • General Motors (GM) is expected to post earnings of $0.85 per share before the market open.
  • Glaxosmithkline (GSK) is slated to report EPS of $0.86.
  • Hanover Insurance (THG) is expected to report EPS of $1.47 after the market close.
  • Marathon Petroleum (MPC) is slated to post EPS of $1.47 before the open.
  • Merck & Co (MRK) is expected to report earnings of $0.85 per share before the opening bell.
  • Yum! Brands (YUM) is slated to post earnings of $0.65 per share after market close.

Thursday

These companies will post quarterly results on Thursday:

  • AstraZeneca (AZN) is expected to post earnings of $0.84 per share.
  • CME Group (CME) is slated to report EPS of $0.93 after the market close.
  • Magellan Midstream (MMP) is expected to announce earnings of $0.93 per share before the open.
  • Philip Morris (PM) is slated to post earnings of $1.06 per share.

Friday

The following companies will report earnings results this Friday:

  • CBOE Holdings (CBOE) is slated to report earnings of $0.66 per share before the opening bell.
  • Dominion Resources (D) is expected to post EPS of $0.85 after the closing bell.

Earnings Season Thus Far

So far this earnings season, results have been quite mixed. As we’ve mentioned previously, several companies have reported lower forward guidance for 2015, while others have announced significant job cuts. These disappointing results combined with various macroeconomic factors have certainly raised some red flags for investors.
